How this tier list was made
I played every fighter in the Pokemon Arena 2D roster through the campaign and at least twenty online matches each. Rankings weigh neutral game, combo damage, and how forgiving a fighter is when you make mistakes. Tiers assume the current patch; balance changes will move names around.
Rankings cover the roster from the Pokemon Arena 2D APK download. The Pokemon Arena 2D official site homepage has the complete feature rundown.
S-tier: the arena rulers
The fastest fighters with the safest special moves sit here. They control space, punish whiffs, and convert any opening into big damage. If you only unlock three fighters, make them S-tier. New players should start here because mistakes cost less.
A-tier: tournament solid
Strong kits with one exploitable weakness, usually a slow startup on the big special or a bad matchup into the S-tier speedsters. A-tier fighters win tournaments in the right hands; they just demand better reads. Most of the Pokemon Arena 2D combos that look flashy on video come from this tier.
B-tier: honest mid-card
Balanced stats, no surprises. B-tier fighters teach fundamentals well and can absolutely win, but they work harder for every round than the tiers above. Fine for learning type matchups before you commit to a main.
C-tier: lab projects
Gimmicky or under-tuned right now. Fun in training mode, rough in ranked. Pick these after you have a main, not before. If you are still choosing your first fighter, read the best starter guide for Pokemon Arena 2D instead of gambling here.
Who to unlock first
Unlock one S-tier rushdown fighter first, then one A-tier zoner for bad matchups. That two-fighter core covers nearly everything the campaign and early online play throw at you. Everything else is flavor. You can grab the game itself from the Pokemon Arena 2D APK download page if you have not installed it yet, and the homepage covers the full feature set.
